IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: During the construction of our new church, we are now worshipping at the Tops'l Beach and Racquet Resort, 9011 Highway 98 West. Tops'l is located 4 miles west of Emerald Coast Lutheran or 2/10 mile east of the main entrance to the Sandestin Resort. We are at the clubhouse which is about 3/10 mile on the right side after entering the resort. Emerald Coast Lutheran Church is a Christ-centered congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, seeking to spread the Good News of the Gospel, that Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again that we might have eternal life and salvation. It is the only ELCA congregation along the Highway 98 corridor, between Ft. Walton Beach and Panama City.

Whether you've attended church most of your life, haven't been part of a church at all, or haven't found a church home since coming to the area, we invite you to visit us. Relax! Dress comfortably. Come and feel at home in God's presence and worship and fellowship with others.

Open Communion is practiced in our church as in all ELCA Churches. Any persons who have been baptized (including youth who are confirmed or have had First Communion training), and accept Jesus Christ as their Savior are welcome to receive communion.

We welcome local residents, tourists and seasonal visitors (Snowfriends) who are looking for a Church-away-from-home-Church, to Worship. If you have any question or if we can be of assistance to you, please call or e-mail our pastor. Otherwise, please join us this Sunday for Worship!

We will begin construction on our new church in mid 2007, to be built on the same location as our present building. Because of the sale of part of our property, the church will be mortgage-free when completed and the congregation will be able to focus its time and resources on ministry to the community and the world. This is a miracle and a blessing beyond our greatest hopes for this congregation. You can follow the planning and construction of our new church by clicking on the Building Update above right.

Our previous (double-wide) building was donated to the New Vision United Methodist Church in Greenhead, Florida, about 40 miles north of Panama City, and has been remodeled to serve as their Fellowship Hall, which will be dedicated on July 1, 2007. In November, 2006, we relocated to a temporary location and will be worshiping there until our new building is completed.
